NH opioid users can now visit 2 'safe stations' in Newmarket

NEWMARKET — Two "safe stations" are now available for drug users seeking help in Newmarket - one is a fire station and the other is a police station.

The program, organized by the Newmarket Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention (ASAP), is seeing immediate positive results, with at least two people already seeking help, according to SeacoastOnline.

The safe station idea was inspired by a similar program in Manchester fire station, which has helped more than 370 people between May and September this year.
