NH Motorcyclist injured in Rochester after colliding with SUV

ROCHESTER — Police, Fire, and Frisbie EMS responded to a report of a motorcycle collision on the afternoon of May 18.

The investigation revealed that Sharon Brooks, 46, of Farmington, was operating her Harley-Davidson motorcycle and stopped at the posted stop sign on Chestnut Hill Road while traveling northbound. She entered the intersection to go straight onto Governors Road and was struck by an Audi SUV operated by Melissa Goslin, 47, of Middleton, who was coming off of Cross Road.

The impact cased Brooks and her motorcycle to slide into the front of a Kia that had stopped at the stop sign on Governors Road.

Brooks was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with unspecified torso injuries. Goslin was issued a summons for failure to yield.

The Rochester Police Department would like to remind motorists that motorcycles are more difficult to see at times and ask that you check twice to avoid a collision.
