NH mother accused of pointing gun at daughter in Manchester during argument, fleeing

MANCHESTER — A Pembroke mother is facing charges after allegedly pointing a gun at her daughter during an argument.

Manchester Police responded to 370 Hanover Street for a report of a domestic incident involving a threat with a gun. There Police found Kayleigh Kousios, 26, who claimed that she got into an argument over the phone and via text with her mother, Evamarie Kousios, 50.

Evamarie Kousios then allegedly showed up at Kayleigh Kousios's apartment to continue the argument. The argument led them to the bedroom, where Evamarie Kousios allegedly pulled out a black case from her jacket that contained a semi-automatic handgun and pointed it at her daughter, according to police.

Kayleigh Kousios's aunt, Lynda Tremblay, lived at the same address and came into the bedroom when she heard the commotion. When she saw what was going on, she began fighting with Evamarie Kousios to get the gun out of her control, police said.
Once Kayleigh Kousios and Tremblay got the gun away from Evamarie Kousios, they secured it safely elsewhere in the apartment and Evamarie Kousios fled the scene, Kayleigh Kousios told police.

A warrant was put out for Evamarie Kousios's arrest, and she found hours later at her home. Police arrested her and charged her with criminal threatening and felonious use of a firearm, both felonies.

She was held on $5,000 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear in Manchester district court Friday for arraignment.
