BRENTWOOD (AP) — A New Hampshire man has been sentenced to 20 to 40 years in jail for luring two children into his truck with the promise of candy and then sexual assaulting them.
Calling the defendant a parent's worst nightmare, Rockingham County Superior Court Judge William Delker sentenced Louie Branco Monday to two sentences of 10 to 20 years in the New Hampshire State Prison. Branco had been convicted in June on two counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault of digital penetration for the acts which occurred June 15, 2014.
Prosecutors said Branco drove the children to a remote area and sexually assaulted them. The children, who were so scared that one only confided in the assault in a note, continue to suffer anxiety and fear due to the sexual assault.
