NH man sentenced to 24 months in federal prison for failure to register as a sex offender

CONCORD — Robert Grant, 60, was sentenced to 24 months in federal prison by the United States District Court after pleading guilty to one count of failing to register as a sex offender.

Grant spoke with Concord Police in July 2013 and was told that, although he was homeless, he would still have to register as a sex offender.

He registered in December 2013 and shortly after he left New Hampshire.

Two years later, in December 2015, Grant was charged with violating the Sex Offender Registration Notification Act. He was found in Colorado and arrested in January 2016.

He was sentenced to five years of supervised release that begins after he is released from prison.
