Law enforcement received information in July 2015 that potential child pornography images had been uploaded to a cloud storage device from a phone number associated with 30-year-old Dale Edson. Law enforcement obtained a search warrant for Edson's residence after they established that Edson used that phone number.

Police executed the warrant on Sept. 9, 2015, and seized three computers and other devices. Investigators found images of child pornography on two of the laptops seized. They also found images on a tablet.

Edson pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography in March. Following his release from prison, Edson will be on supervised release for five years.
