NH man reaches out to fire and AMR personnel after saving his life
MANCHESTER — A Merrimack man reached out to thank first responders who spent over an hour getting him out of his truck and to a trauma center after colliding with a tractor trailer.
Derrick Vossbrinnk, 30, was trapped in his pick up truck when a tractor trailer lost control near Interstate 93. His 3½ year old daughter was also in the back seat of the pick up truck, and her father was pinned and could not get to her.
Vossibrinnk wanted to personally shake the hands and thank the Manchester Fire and AMR personnel for their life saving actions. He reached out to District Chief Mike Gamache, who put crews together to visit him in Elliot Hospital. Crews were able to meet with Vossibrinnk as well as his daughter who was uninjured.
Vossibrinnk sustained serious yet non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash.
