NH man pleads guilty to possession of child pornography

CONCORD — A Hinsdale man pled guilty Wednesday in the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire to possession of child pornography, according to attorney Emily Gray Rice.

The New Hampshire Crimes Against Children Task Force and Homeland Security Investigations teamed with Manchester and Hinsdale police departments in an investigation that resulted in the seizure of a computer and external hard drive from Smith's residence.

Law enforcement reported finding dozens of videos and hundreds of still images of child pornography on the device.

Sentencing is scheduled for January 16, 2017. The defendant faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, at least five of supervised release, and a fine of up to $250,000.
