NH man facing drug charges after police find marijuana growing operation
SEABROOK — A man was arrested after police received a tip of marijuana growing inside the man's apartment.
On Thursday morning, Seabrook police executed a search warrant at the Christopher Manor Apartments, after a tip said there was a marijuana grow inside one of the apartments.
The resident, Richard Gibbons, 51, was not home at the time of the warrants execution. Another male located inside the apartment was detained while the search was conducted and later released without any pending criminal charges.
Upon returning to the apartment later that day, Gibbons was arrested for the manufacturing of a controlled drug. Gibbons was arraigned and released on a $1,000 cash/$50,000 personal recognizance bail.
Gibbon's probable cause hearing is scheduled for June 14 at 1 p.m. in Seabrook district court.
“This case displayed exemplary cooperation between the general public and the police,” said Seabrook Police Chief Michael Gallagher. “Our patrol officers and detectives did a great job investigating the tip they received developing probable cause through their investigation.”
