NH man faces felony charge in knife threat
NASHUA — Police arrested a man for using a knife to threaten another man in downtown Nashua on Sunday night.
Officers responded about 11:13 p.m. to the area of Bowers and Marshall streets for a report of a man with a knife. A man told them that Jose Rivera-Ortiz, 27, of 19 Orange St., Apt. 1, Nashua, had made the threats.
Police were able to locate and arrest Ortiz on Court Street about 11:48 p.m. Ortiz was released on $10,000 cash or surety bail and is scheduled to appear in Nashua district court on July 28 for a charge of class B criminal threatening, a felony.
A class B felony is punishable by up to seven years in prison, exclusive of fines.
