NH man faces deportation to country he left when he was 7 after DUI

MANCHESTER — A 23-year-old man, who has been living in America since he was 7-years-old, could face deportation after a DUI conviction.

Daniel Onoa Aguirre, 23, was born in Columbia but has legal residency in the United States, Fox25 reported.

Aguirre attained legal residency under a federal act called Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals after his mother traveled to the U.S. on a travel visa.

His legal status can be threatened after he was arrested in March for a DUI. He plead guilty, paid a fine and completed community service.

The U.S. Government considers the DUI dangerous behavior, and has placed Aguirre's immigration under review. He was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and has been detained.

An online petition and a GoFundMe account has been created for Aguirre in support of him staying in the U.S.

Aguirre has not been back to Columbia since he left.
