NH man arrested in connection with store burglary in Exeter

EXETER — Police arrested a man in connection with a June burglary at Gerry's Variety.

Daniel H. Fowler, 20, of Candia, turned himself in on an active arrest warrant Aug. 7.

Exeter police responded to a burglary alarm at Gerry's Variety at 1:29 a.m. June 27.

Officers found a shattered rear window upon arrival, and the store's owner confirmed that cash and cigarettes had been stolen.

Officers collected various pieces of evidence at the scene which was processed by detectives and then transferred to the New Hampshire State Police Forensic Laboratory. That evidence identified Fowler as the suspect.

He has been charged with burglary, a class B felony. Bail was set at $3,000 personal recognizance and he is scheduled to be arraigned on Oct. 12 at 8 a.m. at the Brentwood district court.
