NH man arrested after pointing gun at ex-girlfriend's boyfriend
MANCHESTER — A man was arrested after threatening another man with a firearm early Friday morning.
Manchester police said they responded to 670 Hall St. around 1:30 a.m. for a report of two men fighting.
Through the course of their investigation, officers learned that Richard Istvan, 37, went to his ex-girlfriend's residence where her current boyfriend, Cody Coppola, met him at the door.
Istvan allegedly became enraged and demanded to speak with the woman. Police said he then pointed his firearm at Coppola.
Coppola defended himself and a physical altercation ensued where he was eventually able to disarm Istvan.
Coppola made the weapon safe and waited for the police to arrive.
Istvan was taken into custody and taken to a local hospital for injuries sustained during the altercation.
Police said he was treated and released to the police, who charged him with criminal threatening with a deadly weapon.
