NH man allegedly set fire to his residence; faces arson charge
LACONIA — A Laconia man is charged with setting fire to his own residence.
The Laconia Police and Fire Departments responded to 391 South Main St., a mixed residential/commercial property, for a fire on June 20 around 8:50 a.m. Four residents evacuated the building with no fire-related injuries reported.
Officials determined that someone set the fire intentionally after conducting an investigation. Police arrested James Eddy at Lakes Region General Hospital Monday around 2:20 p.m. for the offense of arson, which took place at his residence.
Eddy allegedly refused bail and was subsequently transported to the Belknap County Jail where he awaits a Tuesday arraignment.
