NH man accused of setting trailer on fire with mom inside

HUDSON — A Hudson man was arrested Thursday after he allegedly attempted to set his trailer on fire, with his mother home.

The Hudson Police Department responded to 53 Mobile Drive for a domestic disturbance at about 9:22 p.m. When they arrived, the owner of the residence told them her son was "out of control" and may have been damaging the home, according to police.

Officers banged on the door until Bryan Huntress, 29, answered the door. The trailer home was filling with black smoke at this time. He was evacuated.

The mother was away from the trailer and safe. Officers alerted nearby trailer residents as well to evacuate.

Huntress was arrested for arson and was held on $25,000 cash bail. He was transported to Valley Street Jail to await arraignment on Feb. 17.
