NH man accused of setting scarecrow on fire has trial moved

JAFFREY — The trial of a man accused of setting fire to a scarecrow in Jaffrey has been delayed.

David Bennett, 26, was originally scheduled for trial at Jaffrey district court March 2 after police said he set fire to a scarecrow on Main Street last year.

However, the trial has been moved to March 30 because the police officer in the case being unable to make it, according to the Ledger Transcript.

Bennett was charged with one count of arson after being arrested on a warrant by police last October.
