NH lawmakers pass funding for 'Operation Granite Hammer' 10-0

CONCORD — "Operation Granite Hammer" will be funded.

On Thursday, the N.H. House Rules Committee ruled 10-0 to allow a new bill into the house and provide $1.5 million for drug programs, according to Garry Ranyo on Twitter.

The money will be used to battle the heroin and opioid epidemic, NH1 News reported last week.

Operation Granite Hammer will dedicate more law enforcement to the state's fight against the crisis.

“Operation Granite Hammer has been part of our comprehensive strategy of addressing the substance abuse and misuse crisis in our state and it’s critical that law enforcement statewide have the resources that it needs to really combat the supply of opioids into our state," Gov. Maggie Hassan told reporters last Wednesday.
