NH K9 Daisy Mae and Sgt. Keith MacKenzie recognized by Pennsylvania State Police

DOVER - K9 Officer Daisy Mae and her partner, Strafford County Sheriff Deputy Keith MacKenzie, received an award from the Pennsylvania State Police.

The team was recognized for their work in the 2014 manhunt of fugitive Eric Frein.

Frein is accused of killing a State Trooper and injuring another in a sniper ambush in rural Pennsylvania in September 2014.

Frein remained on the run for a month-and-a-half before he was found and captured.

Bloodhound Daisy Mae and Sgt. MacKenzie also tracked and helped capture a Maine man accused of murdering his girlfriend in June 2014.
