NH Job Corps Center offering tours of new Manchester campus

MANCHESTER — Tours of the new $32 million Job Corps facility are available to anyone interested in learning more about the program.

According to the Union Leader, the tours are held at 10 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.

Tours of the campus can also be scheduled by calling Carey Clark at the admissions office, 621-9555.

According to Eckman Construction, the seven buildings that make up the new campus include dormitories with 268 beds, a gym/recreation facility, classrooms, a dining hall, and an administration and wellness center.

The center will serve people 16-24 years old, who will spend an average of eight months earning their high school equivalency diploma while also preparing for one of nine trades.

Instruction at the facility is slated to begin Sept. 21.

New Hampshire is the last state in the country to host a Job Corps.
