NH is just 1 of 5 states without mass shooting this year - there have been 355 in 2015
CONCORD – The San Bernardino, Calif., shooting where 14 people were killed and 20 others were wounded, was the 355th shooting this year - and the deadliest since the 2012 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
PBS and shootingtracker.com released data that documents every 2015 mass shooting and found that only five states have not had a deadly shooting; one being New Hampshire.
The PBS article defines a mass shooting as an incident when at least four people are killed or wounded, including the gunman.
Hawaii, Wyoming, West Virginia and North Dakota are the four other states where there have not been a mass shooting in 2015.
The San Bernardino shootings were less than a week after a shooting outside a Colorado Planned Parenthood where three people and nine others were wounded.
After the California massacre, President Barack Obama said that the U.S. “has a pattern now of mass shooting in this country that has no parallel anywhere else in the world.”
