NH girl missing for 10 years found in Atlanta; stepfather arrested
CONCORD - A New Hampshire girl whose whereabouts have been a mystery for more than 10 years has been found and is safe.
The U.S. Marshals' Office in New Hampshire has confirmed to NH1 News that the daughter of Genevieve Kelley was located this afternoon at the airport in Atlanta along with her stepfather, Scott Kelley, who was taken into custody.
The Kelleys and the girl, who was 8 at the time, disappeared in 2005, during a custody dispute with the girl's biological father. Genevieve Kelley reappeared last fall and turned herself in to face charges in connection with the girl's disappearance but steadfastly refused to reveal the whereabouts of her daughter. Her court case is pending.
The Marshals' Office says the girl, who is now 19, was allowed to continue on to her destination.
