NH 'Fugitive of the week' arrested while singing karaoke in Massachusetts
CONCORD — After being arrested while singing karaoke, last week's "Fugitive of the Week" might need to start learning the lyrics to Jailhouse Rock.
While participating as a karaoke contestant at a pub on Princeton Street, Ronald Duby Jr., 43, was arrested by the Chelmsford, Massachusetts, police June 3 after a karaoke fan recognized him as the previous week's "Fugitive of the Week."
The tipster contacted the Chelmford Police and Duby was arrested without incident.
Duby had been wanted on an outstanding Hillsborough County arrest warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of failure to register as a sex offender as a result of a 1995 conviction for aggravated felonious sexual assault on a victim under the age of 13.
As a part of the U.S. Marshals fugitive investigation, Duby had just been featured as the "Fugitive of the Week" on May 31.
After his arrest, Duby was transported to the Chelmsford Police Department facility for processing and holding. Duby was charged as a fugitive from justice and was scheduled to appear in Lowell District Court on Monday.
