MANCHESTER - A man accused of shooting and killing a Manchester man last month has been returned to New Hampshire to face charges.
Billy Damuel Maldonado Cancel, 23, was captured in New Britain, Connecticut on October 14th. He was returned to N.H. last night.
Maldonado Cancel was listed on the U.S. Marshal's website with a warning that he could be armed and dangerous.
Maldonado Cancel was arraigned Thursday and is charged with second-degree murder. Investigators said he shot Jonathan Vazquez-Ojeda, 25, on Sept. 14, 2016. The shooting happened at the intersection of Beech and Merrimack Streets.
The paperwork is sealed and officials are not releasing many details about the relationship between the two. Officials also would not comment on how Maldonado Cancel was captured, but praised the work of all agencies involved.
Maldonado Cancel is scheduled to have a PC hearing on Nov. 10.
