NH fuel assistance program to open early this year

New Hampshire's fuel assistance program will open early this year.

The LIHEAP program will accept enrollment beginning Nov. 16 because the federal money has already been released.

The program helps families and seniors whose annual incomes are at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines. Last winter, more than 35,000 Granite State households received an average benefit of $663 dollars.
