NH Fish and Game officials rescue hikers on 4 trails from rough weather conditions


NEW HAMPTON – Wet weather and low visibility resulted in the rescue of four separate hikers on New Hampshire trails Saturday.

During intense rain and lightning, four NH Fish and Game officials rescued Sherilyn Bierwagen and three people with her on Cannon Mountain.

Officials also responded to a 16-year-old Massachusetts boy who fell off a steep cliff behind Winona Lake. He was transported to Lake Region General Hospital.

On the Hancock Notch trail in Lincoln, Kathleen Finn, had to be rescued after injuring her leg. She was transported to Speare Memorial Hospital.

Also, on Saturday, rescue crews assisted Asher Greenberg, from Garfield Ridge Trail and transported him to safety.
