CONCORD (AP) — New Hampshire's Fish and Game Department is offering a five-week introductory fly tying course in March.

Participants will learn to tie several fly patterns. They will be introduced to the basic tools and materials necessary to tie flies, common patterns and what they imitate. Instructors will also discuss insect anatomy and explain why a particular fly is used.

There's no charge for the program, offered Wednesday evenings starting March 2 and ending March 30.

The course is limited to 12 participants, ages 15 and older.
