NH Fish and Game may reconsider bobcat hunting season


CONCORD — Fish and Game Commission members are discussing whether to reconsider their vote instituting a bobcat hunting season this fall.

The Union-Leader reported the Joint Legislative Committee on Administrative Rules voted 9-1 to object to proposed agency rules to govern the hunt. Without rules, the bobcat hunting season would be cancelled.

Commission Vice-chair David Patch of Glen told The Union-Leader the commission is discussing what it wants to do including reconsidering its vote to institute the bobcat season.

“We’re kicking some things around,” Patch said. “I don’t have any good information to give you right now.”

The next scheduled hearing is April 20 at 1 p.m. at Fish and Game headquarters in Concord on Hazen Drive.
