NH firefighter suing town of Epsom, claiming retaliation after reporting of sexual harassment

CONCORD — A New Hampshire firefighter is suing after he says town employees and officials retaliated against him for reporting sexual harassment by a police officer.
The Concord Monitor reports an attorney for Richard Bilodeau of Epsom, filed the lawsuit in August in Merrimack County Superior Court. The suit says the officer, his colleagues, fellow firefighters and selectmen each participated in the retribution.
Bilodeau says they made derogatory comments, refused to work with him, denied him longstanding contract work and rescinded approval to allocate a truck to his team.
The town has denied the allegations, but said Bilodeau's original complaint was investigated by the county sheriff's department.
Selectmen Chairman Don Harty declined to comment Wednesday.
Bilodeau is seeking all available damages. Both he and the town have requested a jury trial.
