NH dump truck driver run off road in Barrington

BARRINGTON - A Rochester concrete company is thankful their driver is okay after getting run off the road and crashing last week.

Perkins Concrete & Excavation, LLC says their driver was on Route 9 in Barrington Thursday when a small white car crossed the center line.

To avoid the car, the dump truck was forced down into the woods. The truck was totaled after hitting a tree and telephone pole.

The truck driver only received minor injuries. He said it appeared the other driver was looking down, possibly distracted by a cell phone.

The company says they hope this serves as a reminder to be more alert while on the roads.

Barrington Police are looking for help identifying the other driver: (603) 664-7679.
