NH drug dealer pleads guilty to 17 drug and weapon charges, sentenced to 6-plus years

A Bennington man has been sentenced to six and half years in federal prison after he pleaded guilty to being a felon-in-possession-of-a-deadly-weapon charge, and 17 drug charges.

Court documents on file say that Rosaire Gauthier, 40, sold oxycodone and other controlled substances to an informant 15 times between April 2011, and Feb. 2012.

A search in April 2014 of Gauthier's residence revealed drugs, three loaded handguns, a loaded shotgun, a loaded rifle with an extended magazine, three ballistic vests, and $18,190 in cash.

Gauthier will be sentenced to three years of supervised release upon the completion of his time.
