NH drought negatively impacted fish in farm's stream
ROCHESTER — Not only has the NH drought negatively impacted farmer's crops, but it has also had a negative effect on fish and other wildlife.
Farmers of Ten Rod Farm in Rochester came across a small mud puddle in the middle of a dried up stream on the farm. According to the owner of the farm, Matt Scruton, inside the puddle were dozens of fish fighting to survive.
"Many fish were completely out of the water, flopping around helplessly in the mud," said Scruton.
The farmers rescued the fish out of the mud and moved them further upstream.
