NH doctor agrees to complete marijuana education after patient prescription complaint

CONCORD — A Colebrook doctor has reached an agreement with the Board of Medicine to undergo marijuana education after prescribing the drug to a patient with marijuana convictions.
According to an article by the Union Leader, a complaint was filed in May 2016 against Dr. Robert Soucy, Jr, 64 of Colebrook, by the patient's parole officer.
The patient had been receiving treatment from Soucy for multiple medical problems, including degenerative joint disease, peripheral neuropathy, hypertension, and diabetes.
