NH Department of Transportation investigation to begin on General Sullivan Bridge

CONCORD — The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announced a detailed inspection of the General Sullivan Bridge has been scheduled beginning on Wednesday.

The inspection work will include weekend days on June 11 and June 12. and work hours will be approximately from 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. and will depend on tides and weather.

The investigation will end June 17.

During this period, the bridge will remain open to pedestrian and bicycle traffic but access will be restricted from certain sections.

The purpose of the inspection is to be sure that the bridge is safe for pedestrian and bicycle traffic. The bridge has been close to motor vehicle traffic since 1984.
