NH couple aboard Royal Carribean Bahamas cruise that was caught in powerful storm

EPPING - A New Hampshire couple and their family were among the 4,500 passengers who got caught in a powerful storm in the Atlantic while they were aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship last weekend.

Tucker and Kim Nichols, of Epping, watched the ship they were aboard go haywire before being ordered to stay in their room to wait out the storm of 30-foot seas and winds up to 180 mph.

According to unionleader.com, The Nichols waited in their room for nearly nine hours, after they watched furniture blow around, glasses fall and shatter, and the ship flood with pool water.

Royal Carribbean's "Anthem of the Seas" departed last Saturday but arrived back at the New Jersey port Wednesday night.

No one suffered any injuries and all passengers got a full refund with a 50 percent off their next cruise.
