NH ChaD kid, Easterseals child ambassador throws out first pitch during Boston Red Sox game
BOSTON — Elliot Perry walked into Fenway Park ready to throw the first pitch at the Boston Red Sox's home game Wednesday.
The Red Sox went on to beat the Texas Rangers 9-4 following Perry's park debut.
Recently, Perry got to see through one of his dreams when he rode in an Eversource bucket truck on May 18.
Doctor's diagnosed Perry's mother with preeclampsia before Perry's birth, a high blood pressure which can affect both the mother and unborn child. This caused Perry to be born early, weighing only 1 pound, 9 ounces.
Perry is a CHaD (Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock) kid and has worked with Easterseals his whole life after his premature birth left him with developmental disabilities.
Eversource and Easterseals will be hosting their 18th annual walk and 5K run on June 1 at Veterans Park on Elm Street in Manchester. The walk helps to support people with disabilities and special needs. Click here to sign up.
