NH bride hitchhiked to get hitched after limo got flat tire

BROOKLINE — Not even having to hitchhike to her own wedding could bring Angelique Arsenault down on her big day.

When Arsenault and her entire wedding party were en route to the wedding venue in Milford, their limo got a flat tire just 15 minutes away on Saturday.

Arsenault said the situation was just too unbelievable that her and the wedding party couldn't stop cracking up on the side of the road.

The bride knew they were on a time crunch though, so she stuck her thumb up in hopes to hitchhike to the wedding.

"A few cars actually took our picture, laughed, and drove away," Arsenault said.

But after only 10 minutes a man named Jay offered her and the entire wedding party a ride.

Jay even got an invite to the wedding.

When asked how she made the best out of the crazy situation, Arsenault said, "champange."

The bride said her wedding day was "the best ever" and thinks the limo story made it even better.

The bride and groom plan to have a mini-moon in Acadia, Maine and then head to Costa Rica in January for their honeymoon.

As for their method of transportation to the airport - a limo may not be the newly weds first choice.

Congratulations Angelique and Jarrod!
