NH board rules in favor of Nashua custodians following labor dispute

NASHUA — The New Hampshire Public Employee Labor Relations Board has ruled in favor of a custodial union in a dispute over respect, practices and positions.

In September, the Nashua Board of Education voted to explore hiring a private company to replace 101 union custodian positions in order to save on their budget, according to the Union Leader.

PELR Board was responding to a labor complaint filed on Dec. 30, 2015.

The labor board decision - which was released on Thursday - ruled in favor with the union and declared Nashua must stop bargaining immediately.
