NH agencies partner to help homeless vets

NASHUA, N.H. (AP) - Multiple government and community agencies in New Hampshire are teaming up to give homeless veterans food, haircuts, clothing, a hot meal and the camaraderie of fellow veterans.

The annual "Veterans Stand Down" is a national event to help homeless veterans. On Thursday, it will be held at Harbor Homes in Nashua, where homeless veterans will be offered help with health care, peer support, housing and other issues.

The participating agencies include the Manchester VA Medical Center, New Hampshire Employment Security, the New Hampshire Army National Guard.
