NH AG: Victim identified in Farmington shooting, ruled homicide as result of gunshot wound
FARMINGTON — The New Hampshire Attorney General identified the man who was found dead in a Farmington home Wednesday.
The death of James Laprade, 33 of Farmington, was ruled a homicide, as a result of a gunshot wound.
Police found Laprade and another woman with gunshot wounds inside the home Wednesday afternoon.
The woman is yet to be identified pending notification of her next of kin but is likely to recover from her injuries, according to the AG.
A juvenile was arrested the same day and charged with second-degree murder and attempted murder. However, because the perpetrator is a juvenile, no other information about the case is available at this time.
The juvenile faced a judge in Rochester district court on Thursday morning. During that closed hearing, the juvenile's lawyers entered "not true" pleas to both delinquency petitions the person is facing.
The investigation into the circumstances of Laprade’s death and the female’s injuries remains active and ongoing.
