NH AG: Suspicious death in Durham ruled homicide, stab wound said to be cause of death

DURHAM — The Deputy Chief Medical Examiner ruled a suspicious death that occurred early Saturday morning a homicide.

The New Hampshire Attorney General's Office said that the cause of 22-year-old Michael Barrett's death was determined to have been a stab wound, following an autopsy.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding Barrett's death is ongoing, including whether or not the use of self-defense was involved.
