NH AG's office charges dad with murder of 2-year-old daughter in Berlin
BERLIN — An arrest has been made in the murder of 2-year-old girl from Berlin.
Roger Joseph Dana, 43, was arrested Friday afternoon and charged with second-degree murder for recklessly causing the death of Madison Dana, under alleged circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life by physically assaulting Madison multiple times.
An investigation was launched earlier this week in the death little girl. An autopsy was conducted Monday morning on Madison by the Deputy Chief Medical Examiner. The examiner ruled the toddler's death as a homicide, with the cause of death as blunt impact injuries.
Madison was at her home on 109 York Street when 911 was called around 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Madison was transported to Androscoggin Valley Hospital where she was later pronounced dead in the early evening.
Roger Dana will be arraigned on Monday at 1:30 p.m. in Lancaster district court.
