NH AG investigating shooting in Derry that has left one man dead

DERRY - The Attorney General's office is investigating a shooting in town that has left one man dead.

Assistant Attorney General Geoffrey Ward told NH1 News this morning that the shooting happened shortly after 11 p.m. on Wednesday and that they are still actively investigating but that the public has no reason to be concerned for their safety. No one has been arrested in connection with the incident and the investigation is ongoing.

The shooting happened on North Shore Road near the intersection with Island Pond Road.

According to a Facebook page for Derry residents, several neighbors report hearing shots around midnight.

NH1 has a crew headed to the scene. We will post updates as soon as they become available.
