NH 4th-graders invited to name the official White House red-tailed hawk

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The 4th grade students from the Lincoln Akerman School may not have officially named the NH state raptor but, they will have the opportunity to name the White House hawk.

The 4th-graders learned the hard way that naming a state raptor is easier said than done when NH state lawmakers dished out some harsh comments about the proposed Red-Tailed Hawk bill.

But now a red-tailed hawk has taken up residence next to the Obamas - and the bird needs an official name.

So, the fourth-grade students and their teacher, Mr. Cutting, have been invited to name the White House hawk.

Keep an eye out for the hawk's name.

It is scheduled to be revealed later this week!
