The latest controversy in this tight Senate race is about Scott Brown being missing in action at all US Senate hearings on border security while he represented Massachusetts according to a published report.
The Washington Post story says transcripts and records show Brown missed all five hearings on the topic in 2010 and 2011.
The Brown campaign has not refuted the report.
Brown has aired attack ads accusing Democratic Senator Jeanne Shaheen of supporting amnesty for illegal immigrants and made border security a central theme of his campaign.
Last week, Republican leaders criticized Shaheen because she missed half the hearings on international terrorism while in the Senate including ones dealing with the threat posed by the Islamic state.
