Police: Intoxicated NH driver rolls dump truck, spilling load
HUDSON — A dump truck tipped over while making a turn Friday and police arrested the driver for driving while intoxicated.
Hudson police said around 2:23 p.m. they responded to the intersection of Derry Street and Robinson Road, where a commercial dump truck had tipped over and spilled a large load of non-hazardous material onto the roadway.
Police said they determined the 1995 Chevrolet Medium Duty dump truck was making a right turn from West Road onto Derry Street when it rolled onto its side.
The driver, Geroge Stanley, 43, of Hudson, was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of a minor non-life-threatening injury.
Stanley was subsequently arrested for aggravated driving while intoxicated and released on personal recognizance bail. He is scheduled to be arraigned on September 28th, 2017 at 8:15 a.m.
Police said the vehicle sustained heavy damage and had to be towed from the scene. A portion of Derry Street was partially closed while crews cleared the scene.
