STRATFORD — A North Stratford woman was injured while driving an off-road vehicle on a trail Tuesday evening.
Fish and Game Officials said Julie Potvin, 59, was riding on what is locally locally known as "Charlie's Trail" at about 7 p.m. when she struck an obstruction and was thrown to the side of the trail.
People with Potvin assisted her and her vehicle from the scene and out of the woods and made contact with a New Hampshire Forest Ranger.
Groveton first responders arrived to assist Potvin, who was taken by ambulance to Weeks Hospital in Lancaster.
N.H Fish and Game also responded and conducted a followup investigation. They said Potvin was not wearing a helmet but she was wearing eye protection.
Authorities said they do not believe that speed was a factor in the crash.
