Agreement Reached on Snowmobile Association Website
TILTON, N.H. (AP) — The New Hampshire Snowmobile Association says it's reached an agreement with the attorney general's office after the state received complaints about the group's operation of its website to solicit membership sales for snowmobile clubs.
In 2015, the association developed an online sales portal on its website to facilitate local snowmobile clubs selling memberships. Member clubs that used the online system charged unified dues, including association memberships.
The association said Wednesday that under the agreement, snowmobile clubs have the ability to set the price of their own membership dues, have access to membership sales through an online market hosted by the association, and can provide members the option to receive the benefits the association offers within its own memberships. That includes the organization's magazine, news blasts, seminars, and other information.
