CONCORD (AP) — Non-profit organizations and other groups looking for help maintaining or restoring trails in New Hampshire can now apply for state grant funding.
The state Bureau of Trails is accepting applications for fiscal year 2017 for its Recreational Trails Program. The competitive grant program offers funding for public trail projects throughout the state. The money can be used for maintenance and restoration of existing trails, purchase or lease of maintenance equipment, construction of new trails and other projects.
Applications are accepted from nonprofits, private groups or government entities and are due June 3.
The state is holding several workshops to help potential applicants learn about the program's rules. The first is set for Wednesday in Concord.
