New Hampshire, Gun Friendly

Reports of John and Elizabeth Trombly's passing now reveal, John purchased an AK-47 to take his mother and his own life.

New Hampshire is what gun shop owner's refer to as a 'gun friendly-state'. In total, the process of buying a fire-arm takes at most, twenty minutes. In any gun shop, you'll be asked for an ID, then fill out forms and then a background check is done over the phone.

That includes criminal offenses, but in this state, no mental-wellness test is given.

So the last line of defense before a shopper leaves with a gun? The salesman behind the counter.

It's suspected Trombly went through this same process the day of his purchase.

But Nicholas D'Augustine owner of Milford Firearms says he exercises his right to refuse a sale.

"If the person is acting sketchy or they make some type of comment that really doesn't pertain to the firearm, we have the right to refuse any sale for any reason."
