New England woman faces felony after allegedly stealing from her employer with gift card scheme
NASHUA— Nashua police say a Massachusetts woman stole thousands of dollars from her employer in a scheme involving gift cards.
Robin Cosco-Guido, 54, of 12 Chapin Street in Winchester, Mass., was arrested about noon on Friday, July 7 after authorities say she had for months been putting in fake returns at Toys R Us/Babies R Us at 272 Daniel Webster Highway. Cosco-Guido is alleged to have put through more than $2,700 in fake returns and putting money onto gift cards that were sold through the store.
Cosco-Guido was handed a felony charge of theft by deception-consolidation.
A class A felony is punishable by up to 15 years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. Cosco-Guido bail was set at $15,000 personal recognizance and she is scheduled to appear at arraignment in Nashua District Court on August 30.
